es to foaming your case we opt for plastizote foam in a range of LD grades and thicknesses for various applications. For fragile items we will line pockets with softer foam to keep external vibrations and impact shocks to a minimum.  In contrast, we use much denser foam in our medicase as this must hold up shelves supporting the weight of the implants/instruments. 

On larger and more uniform items a pocket will simply be lined with foam of suitable thickness. However, on smaller more intricate items we will tend to opt for a routed fitting, where a cutout is made to the exact shape of each item. This prevents the contents from moving around in the case and enhances the overall presentation. An initial timber jig is made first, which can then be used to produce as many foam copies as required. CNC routing is also available for larger run offs.
